SONY ilx-lr: What are the requirements for the storage and usage environment?

SONY ILX-LR1 is a full-frame expandable remote control camera specifically designed for integration with drones. Its compact body design and lightweight structure enable it to easily adapt to various drone platforms, providing outstanding flexibility and portability for drones.

However, while users are enjoying its outstanding performance, they must also follow some of its precautions. As an officially authorized dealer of SONY (China), Xuanzhan Technology will continue to share with everyone.

I. Regarding working temperature
1.It is not recommended to use the SONY ILX-LR1 for shooting in extremely cold or hot environments that exceed the operating temperature range.
2. Under high ambient temperatures, the temperature of the SONY ILX-LR1 camera will rise rapidly.
3.When the temperature of the SONY ILX-LR1 camera rises, the image quality may decline. It is recommended that you wait until the camera temperature drops before continuing to shoot.
(1) Depending on the temperature of the SONY ILX-LR1, the camera may not be able to record dynamic images, or the power may automatically turn off to protect the camera.
(2) Before the power is turned off or dynamic images can no longer be recorded, a prompt message will be displayed on the external display screen. At this point, please keep the power off and wait for the temperature of the SONY ILX-LR1 to drop.
(3) If you turn on the power without allowing the camera to cool down sufficiently, the power may turn off again, or you may still not be able to record dynamic images.
(4) When the power is turned on, even if the SONY ILX-LR1 camera is not shooting, the internal temperature of the camera will rise. If the power is left on for a long time and then turns off or you are unable to record dynamic videos, please keep the power off and wait for the temperature to drop sufficiently.

Ii. Regarding the environment for use/storage
SONY ILX-LR1 is a high-precision electronic product with relatively high requirements for both usage and storage environments. Please do not use or store it in the following places:
1.In extremely hot, cold or humid places, such as in a car parked in the sun, the body of the SONY ILX-LR1 camera may deform, which may cause malfunctions.
2. Storing SONY ILX-LR1 cameras in direct sunlight or near heaters may cause the body to fade or deform, which could lead to malfunctions.
3. Places with swaying and vibration may cause malfunctions and prevent data recording. In addition, the recording media may become unusable, and the recorded data may be damaged.
4. Near strong magnetic fields
5. Be careful not to let sand or dust enter this product in places with sand or dust. This may cause the SONY ILX-LR1 to malfunction, and in some cases, such a malfunction cannot be repaired.
6. In places with high humidity, this may cause the SONY ILX-LR1 lens to mold.
7. Recording and playback may not function properly in areas that emit strong radio waves or radiation.
8. In areas where salt damage may occur or corrosive gases may be emitted, metal corrosion may cause damage or drop of the SONY ILX-LR1.

Iii. Regarding Moisture Condensation
If the SONY ILX-LR1 is brought directly from a cold place to a warm one, moisture may condense on the inside or outside of the SONY ILX-LR1. Moisture accumulation may cause the camera to malfunction.
When taking the SONY ILX-LR1 directly from a cold place to a warm one, to prevent moisture condensation, first put it in a plastic bag and seal it to prevent air from entering. Wait for about an hour until the camera’s temperature reaches the ambient temperature.
If moisture condensation occurs, turn off the power of the SONY ILX-LR1 and wait for about one hour for the moisture to evaporate. Please note that if you attempt to take pictures when there is residual moisture in the lens, you will not be able to capture clear images.

Iv. Regarding storage
When the SONY ILX-LR1 camera is not in use, it is essential to install the lens cap or body cover. To prevent dust or debris from entering the interior of the camera, please remove the dust on the body cover before installing it on the camera.
If the SONY ILX-LR1 camera gets dirty after use, please clean it. Residual water, sand grains, dust, salt and other substances in the camera can cause malfunctions.

Summary
Like other consumer electronics, SONY ILX-LR1 has certain requirements for the storage and usage environment. It is recommended to store and use it in a dry, cool and dust-free environment, avoiding direct sunlight and damp conditions to prevent the lens from fogging and the body from getting damp. At the same time, it should be avoided to use it in extreme temperatures to prevent affecting the camera performance and image quality. During use, it is also necessary to pay attention to shock and collision prevention to ensure the stability and durability of the equipment.
