Sony ILX-LR1, with its 243-gram lightweight body and 61-megapixel full-frame sensor, has become a revolutionary tool in the fields of drone inspection and mapping. To ensure safety and maximize performance, it is necessary to pay attention to relevant matters.
I. Precautions regarding Recording/Playback
Sony ILX-LR1 Before starting to record, please try recording once to ensure that the camera is working properly.
This camera does not come with a display screen. Therefore, when changing the MENU Settings or replacing the memory card/lens, etc., please ensure the camera is working properly by confirming the image on the external display screen.
The recorded image may be different from the image monitored before recording.
Sony ILX-LR1 Playing videos recorded with your product on other devices or playing videos recorded or edited with other devices on your product is not covered.
Sony does not offer any warranty for the inability to record, or the loss or damage of recorded image or audio data due to reasons such as camera or recording media malfunctions. It is recommended that you back up your important data.
Once a memory card is formatted, all the data recorded on it will be deleted and cannot be recovered. Before formatting, please copy the data to a computer or other device.
Ii. Precautions for operating this product
Before connecting the cable to the terminal, please be sure to check the orientation of the terminal. Then, insert the cable straight in. Do not forcibly insert or unplug the cable. This may cause damage to the terminal components.
The camera uses magnetic components including magnets. Do not place objects that are affected by magnetic force (including credit cards and floppy disks) close to the camera.
Iii. Precautions Regarding the Use of Lenses
When changing the lens, make sure the camera is working properly by confirming the image on the external display screen.
When using an electric zoom lens, please be careful not to let your fingers or other objects get caught by the lens.
If the camera must be placed under sunlight or other light sources, please install the lens cap onto the camera.
If sunlight or strong light sources pass through the lens and enter the camera, they may focus inside the camera and cause smoke or fire. When storing the camera, please cover the lens cap onto the lens. When shooting in backlight, please keep the sun fully away from your view. Please note that even if the light source is slightly off the viewing Angle, it may still cause smoke or fire.
Please do not let the lens be directly exposed to laser beams or other light beams. This may damage the image sensor and cause the camera to malfunction.
If the subject is too close, dust or fingerprints on the lens may appear on the image. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or the like.
Iv. Precautions for the Use of Memory Cards
After saving the data, the temperature of the memory card may rise. This is not a malfunction.
Backup memory card
Data may be damaged under the following circumstances. Please make sure to back up your data to protect it.
Remove the memory card, unplug the USB cable or turn off this product during read or write operations.Use memory cards in places with static electricity or electrical noise.
V. Precautions regarding the Use of power supply and Control Lines
When plugging or unplugging the DC plug, please hold the connector. Excessive force may damage the wires.
When unplugging the connector (Molex Micro-Fit 3.0) from the camera, be sure to unlock the connector first and then unplug it.
When the Focus, Trigger and Exposure signal lines are not in use, please protect them with insulating tape or the like to prevent short circuits. In addition, when using these signal lines, please protect them with insulating tape or wire them carefully to prevent short circuits.
Vi. Precautions regarding Installation
When installing this product onto other devices using the tripod screw holes of this product, please use screws with a length of less than 5.5mm (recommended tightening torque: 2.0N · m).
When using the fixed (M3) screw holes on this product to secure it, please use M3 screws with a length of less than 4.5mm (recommended tightening torque: 0.6N · m).
If screws of non-specified sizes are used, this product may not be firmly fixed and may be damaged.
Do not install or use this product in places or on equipment subject to severe vibration.
Install this product on a flat surface without steps.
Regularly check whether the installation position is loose.
