2. Technological Upgrade: FCB-EV9520L Iterates to Usher in a New Era of Low-Light Imaging
As low-altitude application scenarios grow increasingly complex, the market has raised higher requirements for camera modules in night vision performance, wide dynamic range, zoom capability and compatibility. Sony launched the all-in-one camera module FCB-EV9520L to fully replace the classic FCB-EV7520 series. While inheriting the mature structural design, the new model achieves all-round leaps in hardware parameters and algorithm performance.
At the 8th Shenzhen International UAV Exhibition in 2023, Ruiloog Electronic took the lead in unveiling Sony FCB-EV9520L, marking its **first public debut in China**. It officially kicked off a new era of STARVIS 2 starlight-level night vision for Sony industrial vision modules.
FCB-EV9520L adopts the latest STARVIS 2 CMOS sensor with an effective pixel count of 2.13 million. Supported by 130dB ultra-wide dynamic range technology, it retains complete image layers and details under complex lighting conditions such as strong backlight and drastic brightness contrast. With 30x optical zoom plus 12x digital zoom, it achieves 360x hybrid zoom, capable of clearly identifying tiny targets 200 meters away.
Integrated with advanced functions such as super electronic image stabilization, ultra-high-sensitivity night vision and three-zone intelligent image quality adjustment, it perfectly adapts to high-standard scenarios including UAV aerial photography, traffic monitoring, meteorological observation and smart agriculture & animal husbandry.
In terms of hardware compatibility, FCB-EV9520L keeps the same shell dimension as its predecessors FCB-EV7520, with fully compatible LVDS output pin definition. UAV manufacturers can directly replace and upgrade without modifying existing structural molds, saving the cost of mold re-opening and long debugging cycles, and greatly lowering the threshold for equipment iteration.
All full-link video output solutions compatible with previous generations, including HDMI, SDI, USB3.0, IP and MIPI, can be directly applied to FCB-EV9520L, offering solid technical support for the intelligent and miniaturized upgrade of UAVs.
