SONY’s launch of the FCB9500 series includes three different models, each based on the company’s Model 1/1.8 4.17MP STARVIS CMOS image sensor.
SONY FCB-EW9500H has HDMI output, while the FCB-EV9500M and FCB-EV9500L variants have MIPI and LVDS interfaces, respectively. All three cameras feature 30x enhanced optical zoom and 12x digital zoom for high-definition and delicate images.
The STARVIS CMOS sensor features an anti-reflective housing that mitigate gwink and ensures correct image capture (without the risk of losing important information). Its high spectral sensitivity at NIR/IR frequencies meets the needs of surveillance systems.
The cell and circuit architecture used in the FCB 9500 series design technology supports higher sensitivity levels than conventional cameras – a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 50 dB. This is especially useful in low-light environments.
The FCB 9500 series is also known for its image stabilizer technology, which helps enhance blur suppression when exposed to vibration forces. Noise reduction (NR) features remove noise (random and non-random) from captured images, while low focal plane distortion capabilities combat image distortion (with moving objects).
The HD camera FCB 9500 series for surveillance systems depends on the situation, Visibility enhancer (VE) function makes the darkest part of the captured image brighter and automatically corrects the brightness/contrast value. When operating in Wide-D mode, the image is divided into sections to modify shadows and highlights based on intensity.
The FCB 9500 series is compact (56x64x125mm) and can be used in space-constrained applications such as security surveillance systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, vehicle-mounted imaging devices, automated guided vehicles and industrial monitoring infrastructure.
These camera modules can be powered from 7 to 12V DC power and consume 6.3W (FCB-EW9500H), 6.8W (FCB-EV9500M) or 7.8W (FCB-EV9500L) when the motor is running. The operating temperature ranges from -5 to +60 °C and can be monitored using built-in sensors.
