01 The era of 1080P
SDI has undergone several upgrades over the decades, mainly to improve signal quality and transmit more data. Among them, in the era of 1080p full HD video, it is divided into HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and other standards.
3G in 3G-SDI means that the data transmission rate of SDI signal is 3Gbit per second, and it can support the progressive scan of 1920×1080 resolution format of 60 frames per second, that is, 3G can support HD signal of 60 frames per second.
