HD-SDI interface technology

 

Coaxial high-definition technology mainly has the following four solutions: analog high-definition technology (AHD), high-definition composite video interface technology (HD-CVI), high-definition serial digital interface technology (HD-SDI) and high-definition transmission video interface technology (HD- TVI).

High-definition transmission video interface technology (HD-TVI): It is a technology for transmitting high-definition video through coaxial cables. It can achieve uncompressed HD video transmission distance of 500 meters using cost-effective UTP coaxial cable . Moreover, this technology also supports bidirectional transmission of control signals, allowing for more flexible camera control.

 

High-definition serial digital interface technology (HD-SDI): uses digital video signal transmission to maintain the original quality and accuracy of the image. HD-SDI technology has higher image resolution, lower transmission delay and longer transmission distance, and is suitable for application scenarios with high image quality requirements.

 

Advantages of HD-SDI Technology

 

High-definition serial digital interface technology (HD-SDI) has the following advantages over analog high-definition technology (AHD), high-definition composite video interface technology (HD-CVI) and high-definition transmission video interface technology (HD-TVI):

 

Higher image quality: HD-SDI uses digital video signal transmission, which can maintain the quality and accuracy of the original image and provide clearer and more detailed images.

Better stability: HD-SDI transmission signals are stable and reliable, not affected by interference and signal attenuation, and are suitable for application scenarios that require higher transmission quality.

 

Simplified wiring: Since HD-SDI uses coaxial cable transmission, wiring is simpler and more flexible, reducing the difficulty of installation and maintenance.
