The FCB-EV9500M Weight Reduced Version is a lightweight camera module independently developed by Ruiloog Electronic, an officially authorized distributor of Sony (China) and a professional HD video secondary development solution provider. It is modified based on the original Sony FCB-EV9500M, retaining full core performance while achieving weight reduction. It is specially designed for load-sensitive scenarios such as drones, small pan-tilts and handheld devices.
Ⅰ. Why Launch the Weight-Reduced Version
The original Sony FCB-EV9500M camera module weighs 439 grams, which is on the heavy side among Sony integrated camera cores. Its excessive weight limits its application in many scenarios. For occasions with strict weight constraints — such as drone mounting, robot visual navigation, handheld terminals, small pan-tilts and portable inspection equipment — the original standard version cannot meet actual deployment requirements.
Ⅱ. Weight Reduction Solution
Ruiloog Electronic redesigned the original metal housing of Sony FCB-EV9500M into a customized aluminum alloy enclosure. The overall weight is reduced from 439g to 310g, making the module perfectly suitable for applications with high lightweight requirements.
The weight-reduced FCB-EV9500M still adopts the original Sony core components, including the image sensor, lens and image processing circuit. It fully maintains the original core performance of high-definition image quality, low-light sensitivity and zoom capability.
